To understand which first aid kit is suitable and appropriate for your workplace, you will need to check your first aid needs assessment.
All employers should have a first aid kit at each workplace and the size and contents are dependent on the needs of the assessment and the number of employees. If your workplace is large you may need more than one kit.
There is a British Standard BS8599-1 for first aid kits, having this particular kit is not a regulatory requirement under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 but it is important that the contents meet the needs of your first aid needs assessment.
All first aid kits should be checked regularly and any used or out of date items replaced.
