This community public access bleed kit comes with the essentials to treat a catastrophic or any bleed. The kit includes gloves for personal protection and shears to cut away clothing. The tourniquet is for catastrophic bleeds to limbs and the trauma dressing can be used on any bleed.
Also included are two packs of Woundclot™ which is a revolutionary haemostat dressing that clots blood fast and is easy to use even for the untrained user.
When WoundClot™ gauze is applied to the site of bleeding it rapidly converts from a dry flexible gauze to a thick tenacious expanding 3D gel matrix. This stable strong and pliant gel structure enables rapid and stable hemostasis to be achieved utilizing multiple mechanisms of action. WoundClot™’s 3D gel matrix absorbs up to 2500% of its weight in blood and remains actively absorbent for up to 24 hours.
Unlike other haemostats, you can apply this on the skin or pack the wound making it ideal for knife injuries, bullet wounds and any other type of cut.
Also in the kits are instructions and a marker pen to note the time a tourniquet was applied to the patient.
The kits comes in a strong plastic re-sealable self seal pouch and this can also be heat sealed if required.
We can personalise this kit with your logo and for larger orders, bespoke designs. The usual colour is a matt black pouch but we also can supply this in white, silver and other colours where available subject to minimum numbers.
